Deck Expansion Project

Plan: To expand the current deck to handle a 7' Octagonal Hottub and a table & chairs. Decking material selected is Trex™. Will also have Rope lighting over the hottub and a set of outdoor speakers.

Note: Actual construction of the Deck is being done by Hixon Construction...a contractor we hired to keep our sanity and so I don't have to take a week off work. All the Wiring, Latticework and other "acoutrements" are being done by me though.

08-23-2003 (They got started early this morning. Woke us up. Mrphf.)

08-28-2003: Contractors finished. Now it's my turn to work on things. (As soon as I'm back from D*Con.)

09-05-2003: Back from D*Con. Went and bought a bench swing for the Deck. Last one in the area....and it was on clearance. Bonus. Also started redoing the rails. We get to finish the rest of that this weekend.

10-20-2003 - We got the HotTub moved a few weeks back. However I got the wiring switched over to 220V and the skimmer assembly fixed yesterday. Here are a few more Pictures.

Hottub without sides attached. (We still need to finish them....they are stripped and sanded though.)

This is the inside of the Hottub.....should fit about 6-8 people comfortably.
